This pFamily Recipes Cookbookresentation will serve as a kick-off event for Lansing Historical Society’s project “Recipes from our Roots: Lansing Shares Recipes and Stories.” Throughout the next few months we will ask Lansing residents to send us their family recipes and stories about them or just stories about cooking in the days gone by.  Our goal is to bring our community together and celebrate our diversity as well as the shared experience of breaking bread together.

To sign up for this event, please email:  barbd728@gmail.com.  Once you have sent the email, you will receive the link to the Zoom presentation.  This event is free and open to the public.

This event is being produced in partnership with Illinois Humanities. The Illinois Humanities Road Scholars Speakers Bureau invites Illinois authors, artists, and educators to share their expertise and enthusiasm with people throughout the state, enabling local nonprofit organizations to present free-admission cultural programs of high quality to their communities for a modest fee.

Illinois Humanities is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and the Illinois General Assembly [through the Illinois Arts Council Agency (IACA)], as well as by contributions from individuals, foundations and corporations. Any views, findings, conclusions, or recommendations expressed by speakers, program participants, or audiences do not necessarily reflect those of the NEH, Illinois Humanities, IACA, our partnering organizations, or our funders.
